This Week

Here we are cruising towards the end of June!! The summer is flying by so quickly. I have been sewing up a storm this week.  I finished a quilt for my shop. Cute Vintage Modern by Moda!  I am still in love with prairie points and am putting them on every quilt I sew, along with red and white polka dot binding :).

I've also been making lots of bunting banners for summer weddings, picnics and birthday parties. I really love working with the lovely colors of  vintage sheets. The combinations are endless and I love mixing them up.

I am so looking forward to a day at the water park on Thursday!  I checked some summer reading out at the library and am stocking up on sunscreen.  I also bought a new swimsuit. My other suit was 15 years old and 2 sizes too small :)  Land's End to the rescue!!

Hope you are all enjoying what is left of June. I am slowly but surely checking things off my summer list, and there are few things I may still add!!

  3. Hi Debbie, I'm with everyone else too! Love the quilt and the colors and the prairie points are so fabulous, I can see why you put them on all your quilts at the moment. I must try sometime.
I hope you have a great time in the sun and water park. I need a new suit too, but can't get myself to look around......that and pants are my most painful shopping experiences!!!!!

  8. You have been busy! I still haven't got around to making bunting yet, and you're right, June is passing quickly. Your quilt is so pretty and looks great hanging on the porch. Have fun sewing this week.

  12. Hey I love the idea of a summer list ... I'm not sure I'd have enough time to accomplish any of it though asI'm such a dilly dallier - I do have a life list though, it started out as 40 before 40 but I didn't get very far! So anyway now its my life list, currently with 40 items on it ;o) ... I put it up on my blog, hoping that making it public would make me more accountable!!
