Pinwheel Quilt Ta-Dah!!!!!

It's done!! I started the blocks for this quilt just before Easter and they waited patiently for me to get my quilt mojo back!

The fabric is the new Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille for Moda. Love it!!

I think the prairie points look like bunting banner and may be my favorite part of the quilt.

I machine quilted using a diagonal grid on the pinwheels, did some straight quilting on the inside sashing and followed the prarie points on the outside sashing. All in all  I am pretty durn happy with how the quilting came out!!

The backing is actually from the Ruby collection, and the binding is red and white polka dot.

Thanks to Jodi over at Pleasant Home for the tutorial on pinwheels and prairie points!!

  1. I think pinwheels are one of my all time favorites, I used Jodi's tutorial for quilts for my daughters. My first attempt at quilting! This is just beautiful, I love these colors ans the points are such a lovely detail. It makes me want to begin another pinwheel quilt for myself!

  10. Love it! I have made this quilt before. It rests on the back of my daughter's little chair. It is my FAVORITE project of all times. It's that prairie point border that gets me. I've always intended to make a full sized one, but I keep delaying because how long would it take to make all those mini points for a big quilt? Yikes! It would be totally worth it though. Love your fabric choices! :-)

    1. Hi Sharon! I accidentally deleted your other post when I went to reply....
Sophie's ears stand up just like that most of the time. If she is agitated they go way way back, and if she is super happy they kind of flop. They are ten times too big for her little sweet self!! Oh, and try etsy for the fabric if you want some now :)
