December 11 - Sunday

I have to admit that I did not do anything particularly Christmassy today.

Laundry needed to be done.
Floors needed to be swept.
Piles of stuff in the craft room needed attention.
Refrigerators needed to be CLEANED out!!

Oh wait....I did watch Christmas In Connecticut this morning. I love that movie!! Sleigh rides and pretty dresses get me every time! Have you seen it?

I am in the mood for some hand stitching, so I may finish off one of my summer projects. Can't decide whether this wants to be a pillow or a table topper.

Enjoy the  rest of your weekend!!!

P.S   I know. Purple!! This ornament is on my daughter's tree in her bedroom. Bright colors reign supreme in her room :)

  1. I'm envious that you tended to all those details today. I really feel the press of the holidays if the house is falling apart (like mine is right now), so I try to take a breath every few days to catch up on laundry, cleaning, and groceries. (It's been too many days around here!) It helps me enjoy the bustle of the season so much more. Tomorrow is my day to "get clean". I'm staying in pj's on purpose so I'm not tempted to leave the house! My own secret to getting the chores done is not leaving, because once I do I'm usually too tired to be productive when I come home.

Go purple. :-) Joy and purple go well together in my book!

  2. Hello,
I visited your blog today. Your blog is so pretty, colorful, and charming. Your posts are similar to the ones we have recently done. We love the "Nutcracker," and we just did a movie post too. While I was browsing, I noticed the ornament that says "Be Cheerful And Pass It On" - I really liked that. Me and my daughters started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. You have alot of wonderful ideas, and your blog is so cheerful. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

Somedays the housekeeping just has to be done,
    unfortunately!
Wow, you are really way ahead of me if you're working on summer already. Way to go!
