Moda Love Quilt

The Moda Love Quilt has been on my must make list forever. What could be better than a quilt that uses one charm pack! The pattern actually comes in three sizes: mini charms for a mini quilt, charm pack for a baby quilt/table topper and layer cake for a bed sized quilt.

Since I love making smaller projects, I chose the charm size quilt.  Vintage Picnic would make a super cute table topper for the summer holidays....or just everyday. I think any charm pack would be amazing!! You can find lots of cute charm packs here.

There are just enough HST to keep things interesting, but not so many that you want to pull your hair out :)

You can make this super scrappy, or color block, which is what I chose to do.

The finished block is 32" square, so I added a 2.5" border to make it just a tad larger.

I love using stitch #22 on my machine which is this cute wavy stitch. Just look at the texture that this kind of quilting gives. It's so much easier than stippling and works with almost any quilt. It's also super forgiving if you don't do it perfectly!! :)Do you love the background fabric??

Cute bias gingham binding is the finishing touch.

I LOVED making this and this is the first of many!! You can find the free pattern here.
