The Summer Market

Saturday we went to The Summer Market, which was a really cool vintage style show. The location was absolutely awesome in a park overlooking the lake, which was a good and bad thing. The weather did not want to cooperate and many of the vendors had to leave due to high wind and torrential rain. Those that remained had some truly awesome booths! Lots of shabby chic, beach cottage, bunting banners and vintage trailers.

I really am inspired to try my hand at a craft show. I'd love to design an adorable booth and fill it with all sorts of cute and colorful Happy Little Cottage quilts and pillows and bunting banners. Have any of you done a craft show? I have no idea what is involved, but I think I may do a bit of research to find out...

And I just wanted to welcome all of you who may be visiting from Brenda's sweet post at Cozy Little House! Thanks so much for visiting my blog♥

  1. Hello Debbie

That looks like my sort of place..shame the weather wasn't so good.
I do miss these type of craft markets....you do get some here in Alicante but few and far between
I am convinced if you decide to set up a craft stall you will do super well! You have some lovely makes and some of them practical but attractive also. The bonus is with a craft stall is the people you meet and the fun you have. I've done it with my sister in the Uk and we had a great time.
    I'd say go for it!

    keep well

    Amanda :-)

  2. What a great way to spend the day, so many cute things!! You make so many beautiful things you would do great at a sale. From what I have heard smaller items sell the best, ladies don't want to spend lots of money at craft sales

  3. So fun! I love a good show and when the booths are that cute I might as well be in heaven! I'm sure your booth would be swoon worthy!

  4. I love going to a craft fair. I have made things and gone in with others who had booths and was so happy to sell my handmade things. I think you would do very well at a craft show or art fair. There may be a Holiday or Christmas one coming to your area that you could join in and it would probably be indoors. Thank you for mentioning Clover & Violet on your blog recently, how kind of you!!

  8. Looks like a wonderful show. I've done shows for 27 years now. I used to do 10 to 15 shows a year, but now I only do 2 really big shows...one in October and one in November.

  12. I wanted to go to that market! Looks like so much fun. Markets like that you can't find over here... Hmmm. Sounds interesting about the craft fair thing. Sorry, but I don't know anything about it. I might try out a artisan market this fall though... If I can manage to find some time to make some stuff to sell that is. Good luck investigating. You would do great in your own booth for sure!
