Fly A Kite

Have you seen this fabric yet? It is called Fly A Kite by Riley Blake and I think it is beyond adorable! I made some cute bunting banners and a pillow for my shop with it. Couldn't resist adding the ric-rac.

Shann over at Daisies Are My Favorite Flower made the cutest tumbler quilt with it. You should go over and take a peek. I really want to make one!

I was getting so used to the warm weather we were having, and now it is gray and rainy and cold. And I am on round 2 of some kind of flu yuckiness. ICK! I am waiting for it to warm up so I can plant some zinnias and get impatiens for my porch planters. I usually do this on Mother's Day weekend. Have you planted anything yet?

I am looking forward to having my son and his sweet girlfriend over for dinner this weekend. Curry and naan are on the menu, and some kind of delicious dessert is in the works. It really is an excuse for Becky and I to have go all out with the table and decorations! I think a stop at Trader Joe's is on tap for some of their gorgeous and oh so affordable flowers.

Hope you all have something fun planned for this weekend!

Fly a Kite is a favorite of mine. I have two charm packs waiting to be created with.
I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you are able to get the rest you need and are feeling 100% real soon.
Your dinner sounds like so much fun. :0) I miss Trader Joes. When I go home I make a jaunt over there. Oh my ... curry. We have a favorite honey curry chicken recipe I just made on Monday. Yum!
My little garden consists of sweet basil, tomatoes, yellow squash, and bell pepper. :0)
    Have a nice evening. xo

We always save our planting for Mother's Day too. It's a fun little tradition we have begun and I always look forward to it.

  13. The fabric is so sweet! I am headed home for a couple of days - but the nights have been so cold that I dare not plant my impatiens yet! I'll have to wait for next weekend.
