First Day of Summer

Hello! Welcome to Summer Spring here at Happy Little Cottage. It is 80 degrees and I am wearing flip flops! YAY! It seems like forever since I last posted and I feel like a bad blogger :)  I have been sewing lots of cute things and watching Downton Abbey. I have one episode left and am putting off watching it because I don't want it to end!

Here's a peak of what I've been up to!
A new Ruby quilt. I still LOVE sewing with this fabric. I love the way it pairs with white kona cotton.

And a new Happy Little Pin Cushion color way. I am calling it Americana! These are some of the reds and blues from Pam Kitty Morning.
I have a quilt in the works with Pam Kitty Morning. I am using the same blocks as the Ruby quilt and love the way it looks completely different with Pam Kitty.

I really need to go outside and enjoy some of this gorgeous weather, but I have to admit that I really love the time I spend in the sewing room!

How's the weather where you live?

  1. My weather is the same as yours. HOT! Very very strange for this time of year. Wonder what's up?

I am also a watcher of Downton Abbey. Just started. So far so good! :)
    Have a wonderful night.

  3. I love your quilt and pincushion! I can't blame you for not wanting to leave the sewing room. I love this weather too! I live in Illinois and it's been 80 or 82 here lately too. Very unusual. I take my knitting to the porch swing on days like this. Not as easy with a sewing machine though! Have a great week,
