The sweet ladies over at the Fat Quarter Shop sent me TWO copies of their new book by It's So Emma called Fat Quarter Style. One for me, and one for YOU!!!
This book is so amazing. It has patterns for 12 delicious quilts and each one is prettier than the other. All the patterns are written for beginner quilters, though seasoned quilters will love them too. Lots of eye candy pictures, and plenty of solid information for you to complete a quilt will will be proud of and love for years to come.

I was just looking at this book last night and thought I "need" this book. I am working on a scrappy trip and a scrappy cornerstones quilt. I am also making pickles and helping my son move. After that I'm headed to the beach to work on that tan and do a little sewing. Haha busy summer. Thanks fir the great

DeleteI love this book almost as much as I love collecting fast quarters, is a disease. My summer project is living on my new baby girl, but hopefully by fall I'll be ready to take on a new project.

ReplyDeleteRight on Debbie! I stay busy w/projects. I just finished a scrappy Strip Twist quilt for my niece who is off to college next month. I'll be working on various projects over the summer to include: a charity lap quilt, a summer star mini, basting and quilting a chevron top I finished months ago, a diamond quilt I won in a raffle, and the list goes on and on....and on! 😄

Hi! I just discovered your blog on bloglovin and it's amazing. I have never made a quilt and it's been on my to do list for ages. I'm getting my first sewing machine very soon and I want to get started straight away. That book looks very interesting. This summer I hope to make my first home ! Me and my partner are moving into our first unfurnished flat on Friday and I'm spending lots of time looking at furniture on the internet. I love crochet so I'm trying to decide some cute things to crochet for it. Wish me luck :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished a Faceted Jewels quilt in brights and a Scrappy Trip so I really want to quilt them before starting another project. I love piecing a top, then I'm ready for next project. I have many quilt tops that need to be quilts! That is my rest of summer project.

ReplyDeleteOh how I wish it were summer - winter is here in Australia and today it is COLD, windy and rainy. I have a flannelette quilt to make to help keep warm and an ongoing hand stitched hexi quilt. I'm also enjoying some knitting, I'm currently making the "Mara" shawl

I am working on two machine applique quilts (blanket stitch) for my young grandsons. It's been a learning process since I have not attempted this before. ReplyDeleteThis summer I finished a Lego quilt for my sun, actually we did it together, and he was very helpfull with fabric choice and even quilting.
That book looks awesome! I'm working on a quilt to give to my brother for Christmas and a few smaller projects as well.
