Hello from the Sewing Room



Hello! Here's where I've been spending lots of time while it looks like this outside...

 
This is what the Polar Vortex looks like. Lots of snow and really cold. But that's fine with me. I just surround myself with lots of color.

The start of something cute...a pillow? A table topper? Not sure yet.

I've been having a blast with Lori Holt's Quilty Fun Sew Along aka as the school of quilting. I kid you not, my quilting has improved by leaps and bounds since I started quilting along.

Pincushions. Something new for my shop.

And a mug rug that's a gift for someone special. The cute Susan Branch print in the center was a gift from super sweet Amy.


Mini Swoon blocks. 8" squares of total cuteness!! My first block honestly took me three hours, but I am picking up speed.These have been my "go to" in between sewing orders and working on my Quilty Fun sampler.

Take THAT Polar Vortex!

    Good for you! Taking back your day by not letting sucky weather get in the way. It's pretty much the same here (snowy and freezing). I can't wait to get my book (Quilty Fun) in the mail so I can start on some projects too. Happy sewing, and love love love those colors.

    Yeah, Polar Vortex! Who cares if it's cold and dark in January when you have these gorgeous fabrics to play with?! I ordered some Pam Kitty Picnic yesterday to start work on Lori's Quilty Fun, can't wait! Love your quilt blocks, so exciting!!! Sew On!

    Oh thank you for saying your mini swoon took 3 hours! I feel much better about myself now since mine took about that long. This polar vortex thing makes me giggle, I live in an area where it always snows in winter - a lot! Stay warm!

    Hang in there in the cold... I heard someone whisper about spring is coming!!! :0) and that's all I hear!! No one can convince me something else...lol... Great finishes ( as I was suppose to write on your last post ...but came out finished....well well:0) and I love your mini swoon...haven't tackled the big ones yet...three hours you said...but I guess the minis are trickier!!! :0))
