This weekend found me back in the sewing room making cute little things just for the FUN of it!! I've wanted to make one of these mason jar pincushions forever and finally did. During a little retail therapy I scored some adorable packages of trim (40% off) to go on some spools that have been sitting in a drawer. I decorated them with some cute scrapbook paper and they are now sitting happily on a shelf in my sewing room.
Just in case you think my sewing space is neat and tidy, here is evidence to the contrary. Still makes me pretty happy. It's a CUTE mess ♥♥♥
I also finished my attempt at the Happy Hexagon Trivet in Patchwork Please. I am sure my childhood report cards read "does not follow directions" because I didn't read the part about enlarging the pattern. But it's a cute mug rug, don't ya think????
Another little bit of happy......it's time to break out the Halloween jewelery!!! The cute bracelet was made for me a few years ago by sweet Trish at Notes of Sincerity and the necklace is a birthday gift from my daughter Becky. I love black and orange, which also happen to be the school colors of our local high school! :)
Lovely!! I always like your fabric choices, the coaster and pin cushion are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, Love your creative "cute" mess. That's what is supposed to happen when we are in creative mode!! Great halloween jewelry! Fun and spooky, xoRobin

ReplyDeleteLots of CUTEness going on over at your house! So glad you shared, and I was amused by your "oops" on the trivet. I think I'm going to try the tiny version myself - it's just adorable!!!

ReplyDeleteI love your darling little project! that pincushion is so so cute and oh ! that coaster! you are one talented lady!
ReplyDeleteYour projects are wonderful, big and small! Love your Halloween jewelry!
ReplyDeleteLove your hexi mug rug. I tried to make one last night (different style) but when I put lines of machine quilting to it - the whole thing became misshapen. Do you have any idea why this happened? I tried changing the tension, etc. on my very 1980s Singer but nothing helped. Thanks, Mary
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that happened....the only thing I can think of is do you have a walking foot? I've had that happen a few times before I bought one for my sewing machine. Hope this helps!!
DeleteYour Haloween jewelry is adorable! I have had the good fortune to receive some of Trish's jewelry and it is a delight:>) Love the trivet/mug rug, and I would have had the same report card. Directions? We don't need no stinking directions! lol
ReplyDeleteLove your projects, so much fun to sew little things that you enjoy!!
