Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend.  A mini vacation as I had 4 days off from work! Pool time was planned, but the weather did not cooperate. Lots of time was spent in my sewing room where I finally feel like I have my sewing mojo back. So many other things to do. Paint colors to choose. Painting to be done. Curtains and pillows to be sewn. Learned a new quilt technique. I made a no binding quilt using some of my vintage fabric stash. Love the modern finish it gives, but I don't think it saved much time. I also made one with Little Red Riding Hood. Still need to bind the pinwheel quilt. Did a little knitting. I thought I might have forgotten how, but it's just like riding a bike :).

I have one more day off and have a fun road trip planned that I am super excited about...stop by later this week and I will tell you all about it!

  3. The colors are all so sweet.

I wanted to create this weekend, but the weather was HOT, HOT, HOT and it was just too much to work in my creative space (the garage).

  5. Your quilt is beautiful! Quilting is something I wish I had the patience for, but I just don't seem to get along with the sewing machine. I'm looking forward to hearing about your roadtrip :)

  9. Have a fun road trip Debbie! Love that vintage quilt, so pretty! Your knitting looks fab, I am jealous. I must spend more time practicing. It just doesn't go as fast as crochet and I get impatient. Your yarn colors look great!
