In between a family gathering to eat burgers and pasta salad, and a final trip to the water park, we had a soggy, humid Sunday. Off to the sewing room!!!!!
I finally made some design boards. I have had these bookmarked forever! I made three from one 20 x 28 piece of foam board that I bought at Target for $2.00. 2 are 10 x 14 and one is 14 x 20. The trim is all Ruby ♥ Head over to Bee In My Bonnet for the tutorial. Lori is awesome!! I don't know how I lived without these handy little things!!
I also have been working on a Log Cabin. I am using fabric by the awesome Lori (see above). This is the Millie's Closet jelly roll that I won last month! Jelly rolls make log cabins easy peasy!!!
I also started another quilt inspired by one that is featured in Love Patchwork.(Thank you all so much for all your sweet comments about the magazine!! You are sooooo nice!!) It is a mix of cute nine patch blocks and blocks of white with a small block in the center. I am using my Marmalade jelly roll for this one. Lots of fun colors to play with!! The blocks are set on point and I am a bit nervous about that part. Wish me luck!!!
Yummm, everything looks so good!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous makes, Debbie! Everything is so colourful :). Yes, I agree, jellyrolls are wonderful for making log cabin patchwork!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.

Ooooo! So fun and cheery! I love it all! No sewing or even crafting too place this weekend, but my two littles start school today and for the first time in years I'll be able to create alone! Eeeeep!
ReplyDeleteLove the log cabin, the fabrics are beautiful! Lots of crochet going on over the weekend here, so many projects on the go, must get some finished!! On the to-do list for today is lining a wicker basket with some gorgeous cream and red striped fabric. It will be a knitting basket, birthday present for my lovely mum :)

ReplyDeleteThe little boards are fun, and your binding is always so perfect. We have been decorating the living room in duck egg blue and cream which is one of my favourite colour combinations, that pretty much took over the weekend, and now the children are back at school today I feel the need to make something to go in there.
