  1. Hi Debbie, I must say that I just love some of the things that you've made. I love reading blogs because it shows me how many talented people there are in the world and how beautiful their creations are. And of course, I also read them as inspiration. That's also one of the reasons that I started blogging. It gives you the opportunity to get in touch with likeminded people who can help you make the most beautiful things... Congrats on your 2-year anniversary!!! (I'm not too fond of posting my emailadress on the internet, so I'll give you the link to my blog instead: http://mycrazycraftiverse.blogspot.be/)

  3. Adorable bunting! I read blogs to get a glimpse into the lives of other woman in different parts of the world. It's fascinating to me to be able to reach out and connect with someone that lives across the world who I never would have known just a few short years ago. I do have a blog and love the people that I've met (virtually ....) since I started.

  4. I am pretty new to quilting and do not have a blog but read blogs to learn more about quilting techniques, fabric selections, and design ideas. I found your blog after I purchased my first few fabric collections which still remain some of my favorite (ruby, vintage modern, and fly a kite) and saw that these seem to be some of your favorites too. I love all of your fabric choices and your different quilts.

  5. Congrats on 2 years!! I blog because i like the sense of 'community' that I've found. I don't have many friends who quilt, so I love chatting with those who know what I'm talking about. I love that I have friends all over the world, many of whom I hope to meet in real life some day. I love that quilters pitch in to make quilts for families whose lives are torn apart by floods, earthquakes, and fires. I love that if I need inspiration, motivation, advice, or a particular piece of fabric, I can ask any time of the day or night and someone will be there with a comment!

  10. I love blogging, and reading blogs, too. I think of my blog as being a bit of a diary..I'll be able to look back someday and see how far I've come in my quilting and sewing, etc. I read blogs for inspiration. I get new ideas and can aspire to be a better quilter!

  11. Happy 2nd anniversary!! So glad I found you blog awhile back, your things are so happy and sweet, I can't help but smile. I started my blog to keep in touch with family and friends, it has grown over the years to include so many wonderful ladies that inspire me to do more each day. Love your buntings, I really should make one but there are already so many projects piled up I can't take on one more thing. Following on FB

  18. Hi Debbie, I had a hard time getting started, my daughter had been blogging for quite some time before I started, she just encouraged me to jump in any time. Then when I really got started, I just loved it. Meeting so many wonderful women who love doing so many fun things! Inspiration and connecting! So glad I met you on your blog. Happy 2 years and hopefully many more!

  24. Hi Debbie,
Congratulations on turning 2! I've just started blogging so that I have a creative outlet in writing, really. I always wanted to write and now that I'm studying towards a degree in art history and languages I thought that writing a blog would be good practice and maybe give me some confidence in my writing (even though it's not in the academic style). Maybe I just like the sound of my own voice! :D
I enjoy reading other people's blogs because I love the sense of community and shared experience. Sometimes you feel like you're going through life alone, but flicking through a few friend's blogs can bring your perspective back into check, bring you out of yourself, connect you with someone else's life and give you fresh inspiration. It's like a breath of fresh air :)

  25. Hi Debbie! I found your blog through Allsorts (and found that doing a search for craft rooms) and I love it! I am not a blogger, but I am a "quilter-in-training" and have found much inspiration here. Most patterns that I find require a long arm quilting machine which I could no way afford or find room for, but yours are just simple straight quilting (besides being so stinking cute I can't stand it). I actually think that I can do this! Thanks so much.

  26. Oh I love your Bunting. So adorable. Love the tag as well.
    Happy Anniversary.
I am a blogger....2 1/2 years now. I stated because I loved reading a blog of a friends. I love writing my Christmas letter every year. It seemed I was always thinking of events that I wanted to write in that letter. So I decided to blog. I didn't know what direction I would go. It has ended up a little of everything.....but mostly about what goes on in my life.
I love reading other blogs, including yours. It's like a peek into other's lives. I have made some amazing friends. It has been a great adventure.

  27. Congratulations!!! I hope you are going to have a cake and party too! I love to read blogs for inspiration and fun. This summer one of my aims is to make my first cathedral window pincushion, after seeing so many of yours which are just stunning I want to try it. Such a lovely giveaway too.

  28. Congrats Debbie! I am so thankful for people like you who blog, for people like me are blog readers (and commenters sometimes too lol). I do alot of crafts & I always think about sharing my progress with blog friends....but, I am TERRIBLE at taking pics so that's what keeps me from blogging. I have made a resolution to start a blog though & I do have the basic outline completed - just gotta get over that picture taking hurdle! So thanks for all your hard work in posting pics & projects - I get soooo much creative inspiration from the blogs I read (and pinterest now too).

  29. Blogging was a birthday present from my daughter. I would NEVER have been able to figure out how to begin, but she was patient and it was the PERFECT gift. My blog is my own personal journey. Do I dare admit I go back sometimes just to read my entries and relive them once again ( does that sound ego driven)????
If I won the banner, it would be displayed for my Mom's 90th birthday. Then I would keep it in my home to remind me of the wonderful day and the blessing of having my Mom so many years. She is my dearest friend and always my mentor. I love that you and your daughter seem to be the same way. I love her blog, and love yours too!!! XXX

  31. Hello,
I love reading your blog! I am new to the world of blogging, after a very disasterous-stepping-on-toes previous blog I can now be found at Armchair Antics (www.armchairantics.blogspot.com), I blog because I love making new friends and although I have very few followers (only 3!) it still creates a massive grin on my face when I see that 3 people think its good enough to read!! I also like to document my crafty adventures.

Your bunting is beautiful, I'm in awe of bunting but have not had the confidence to make any as yet, mainly because my sewing is rubbish! I would display it at the Macmillan Coffee Morning fund raising event I'm organising!

Happy blogaversary!! :) I look forward to reading lots more!

  51. Well, I love visiting the creative blogs since I love creating/sewing, but I don't have one myself. I often think about having one but my time is already stretched with two young kids (one having autism). But, because I'm mostly housebound I discovered the blog world a few years back and it gave me a window to peer into the colorful, vibrant, creative world I always wanted to be a part of. I can remember many years ago before blogs were invented thinking where were the people who were like me at? People who liked to find some cruddy castoff at the thrift store and transform it into something pretty? People who got excited over some tiny random thing they made? The first blog I remember reading about was Alicia Paulsen's when her home was featured in Romantic Homes...I went to the computer wondering what a blog was & clicked in...that is when the heavens opened up and felt like rainbows were exploding all around!! There were so many like-minded ladies who had similar vision...they got me - I got them! It was that "I'm home" feeling. Needless to say I was so inspired to get back to crafting/sewing again which had been dormant for so long.
So, I want to thank you and all the creative bloggers who lift our spirits and realize that crafting/sewing/creating is alive and well and soul satisfying. Congratulations on your blog anniversary!

  52. I am a lapsed blogger. As a full time carer (for my lovely Mum) I don't have the time I need to devote to preparing the images and words as I want them to be for publishing. I love to write supporting words for my photography, which is my top hobby. I love macro and landscape shoots the best of all. I love reading blogs, and wish I had more time to read. I have a diverse reading list, and really enjoy the ones I follow. Also, I would love to make my page look more together, like yours does! I love the red and aqua header! Congratulations on your upcoming Second Anniversary! May they be the first two years of many more delightful blogs to follow!

  53. Hi and congratulations on your 2 years! I still feel like a new blogger (I started at the beginning of the year) but love it so much! Part of it is motivation to actually finish things I start (I'm much better at starting than finishing!), part of it is keeping track of what I've made, but my favourite part is reading the comments I get. People are just so encouraging, and it's great to get feedback from like-minded people who really get what crafting is all about. Thank you for your lovely giveaway, and enjoy all the blogging years to come :)

Blogging is a way for us to grow our friendships over the miles and oceans between us and stay connected with each other. I love it!

  59. I'm not blogging now, and unfortunately taking some time away from regular creative work. So reading blogs is an extension of my own creativity - a sense of continuity, so that even when I'm not able to make things myself, I'm still part of the community of people who do. Reading about inspiration, technique, execution and just the pure sensory love that handmade provides carries me through until the time I can get back to work myself. I'm so grateful!

  60. I enjoy blogging for lots of reasons, but one is all the nice creative and really sweet people I have met. I get so much inspiration from all who are willing to share what they love. It also gives me an outlet to share what I love and that is my family, sewing, activities and a place to document some of my life.
Yours is an especially creative place for inspiration. Thanks for such a sweet giveaway.

  61. I blog to escape, lol, I know that sounds a bit terrible, but a little over a year and a half ago I had no idea what a blog even was. Then one evening I was searching for something related to crochet and landed on Attic24's blog. I started reading and was HOOKED! I found myself in the wee hours of the morning in a labyrinth of blogs, one leading to another, discovering people with similar interests. I was addicted and kept telling myself that I wanted to be a part of this beautiful group of people who were kindly encouraging, sharing and faithful to be there. I got my feet wet the end of December 2010 and have loved every minute of it. I wasn't even sure anyone would want to read what I wrote but I now have 118 followers. It doesn't take any effort at all to be a friend on here. There is a lot of kindness and understanding. It is great to see what others have been up to and it sure has given me a boost to know that I can contribute and help someone as well. These people are amazing and I am so happy to be a part of the blogging community.
Thank you for offering up this giveaway. Bloggers are so generous. Congrats on your 2 year Anniversary!!!!!

  64. Hello Debbie,
I've been a follower of yours for quite some time now and I can't keep away. Great blog!
I halfheartedly started my blog way back in July 2011 not quite sure what I was going to say on it.My blog was a bit pathetic to begin with I popped in occasionally writing posts to myself mainly and hesitantly following a few blogs; unsure whether to comment or not. I suppose I was feeling my way. It got to a point that I was considering deleting my blog all together that is until Mrs Thrifty became my first follower and I was actually in contact with someone and someone who was crafting. I then you could say "saw the light" and decided to continue and made up my mind that I was blogging to meet other crafters, to learn and to give and to enjoy. I haven't stopped since and do not want to.
I would love to participate in your giveaway Debbie and most certainly would like to win your Bunting Banner.
