Here are some works in progress in my sewing room.
Here is my Ruby quilt top. I think Ruby may surpass Sugar Creek as my favorite fabric to work with. Red, aqua, soft green and gray! Love the color combo. I bought an aqua and gray on white polka dot for the backing and binding, but am second guessing myself.
This is a table runner made with a French General Rouenneries charm pack that has been sitting in my fabric stash for a few years. Since I took this photo, I have quilted it and almost have the binding finished. YAY!!
And this fabric container was just for fun. Kinda cute for a knitting project holder. Or maybe to hold fat quarters or charm packs? The fabric is from Joann's and I used a lightweight interfacing and some left over batting. I think next time I may use "Craft Fuse" in place of the interfacing to give the container a bit more structure.
I had a gift card to my LQS so I went today in search of Ruby. Not in stock yet. So sad. I can hardly wait to get my hands on some. Your little fabric bucket is so precious. Did you use a pattern for that??
ReplyDeleteThree adorable projects. I have yet to find Ruby locally either. Good things are worth the wait, though. Beautiful work Debbie! Patty
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie i love the fabric, just did a quick search online for it as quilting fabrics are difficult to come by in ireland, when you do they're v expensive, so i always buy online from the U.S. Found the collection at the fat quarter shop YAAAAAAYYY!!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric container also, really lovely.
Have a lovely day :D

ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! I'm your newest follower. I found you through notes of sincerity. Just had a fun visit through your blog and I love your quilts! Have a great evening! Lynne
ReplyDeleteSuper Cute, and I love you Sugar Creek Quilt - it looks so vintage. That Ruby Fabric is definitely a favorite, I just bought a fat eight bundle and can't wait to use it. I see it being used on almost every quilt blog I look at.
